Winter is very mild and early spring tempera- tures are high. The first buds appear early and endure late April frosts. Hot temperatures later that year allow new buds to grow. Before the harvest starts – mid- September – important rains make the grapes swell without therefore affecting their sanitary state. An exceptional homogeneity over the whole Champagne Region and its grape varieties announces an exceptional year. 1990 is a wine of a rare aromatic richness with a long-cellaring potential.
the colour is pale gold. the nose has elegant floral aromas (rose), and a light smoky sensation. Nice intensity in the mouth, floral aromas return completed with some ropy notes. Great freshness to finish.
